Ta Yoga™ 101A - Level 1A Course This course is for absolutely anyone of any shape, size or fitness level to experience the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required. It is a perfect way for new beginners, or returning long-lost yogis, to learn the correct positioning of the foundation postures and breathing techniques in a way that works for your body. You must pre-register for the course. Cost is $140 per person for the 6 two-hour sessions. Sign up here.
Ta Yoga™ 101B - Level 1B Course If you've taken some drop-in yoga classes, or have completed the Level IA Course, this course will help you go deeper into the practice. It will provide an in-depth introduction to some of the optional asanas, such as Triangle and Shoulder Stand, as well as additional pranayama and meditation techniques. Ta Yoga™ 201 - Level 2 Course If you've been practicing for a while or have completed the Level IB Course, this course will help you go even deeper into the practice. It will provide an in-depth introduction to additional standing sequences incorporating more challenging postures such as Warrior III and King Dancer, arm balances such as Crane and inversions such as Headstand, as well as additional pranayama and meditation techniques. Ta Yoga™ Core Flow This open class is a flowing integration of breath and movement appropriate for advanced beginners and intermediates. This is a good continuation for those who have completed the Ta Yoga™ 101 course. The session moves at a moderate pace which allows you to focus on strength and flexibility, while achieving a steady mind and a more relaxed body. You will break a sweat and then unwind at the end. The flow varies from week-to-week, with a balanced mix of seated and standing postures, as well as breathing techniques and deep relaxation. On-going Open Class – please email or call at least 2 hours ahead to reserve a spot. Cost is $15 regular drop-in and $10 for student or senior.
Ta Yoga™ Relax & Restore This open class is a calming retreat for students of all levels. A handful of poses are taught and held passively using props to support the body in order to deepen the benefits of poses. Both soothing and nurturing, this slow flow promotes the effects of conscious relaxation. It is perfect for stress management, for those with injuries, older students, new students, to compliment a more vigorous practice, and for a way to recharge mid-week. On-going Open Class – please email or call at least 2 hours ahead to reserve a spot. Cost is $15 regular drop-in and $10 for student or senior.

LOCATION The Ta Yoga House is at 71 West 128th Street, Suite 3B (between Lenox & 5th). The studio is in a private residential space - an intimate Uptown oasis. Class sizes are limited to 12 people per session so RSVP is required. Yoga mats and props are provided. Personal mats can also be purchased for $25. Cash and checks are accepted. Courses can be paid via credit card online. Studio opens 15 minutes before class starts; otherwise, access is by apointment only.

For Open classes, you can pay on-site. You can register for the Courses online. You can also purchase class series cards on site via cash or check, or below via Paypal.
